UK-based indie author Andrew M. Dobell has announced that he is going to be releasing updated versions of his book series The New Prometheus. If you’re not familiar with The New Prometheus, it is a five-book series that was originally published in 2017. It’s a series of fast-paced techno-thriller novels that read like a high-end action movie script.

The series follows main protagonist Frankie who, as a result of an unfortunate attack that nearly kills her, is transplanted into a cybernetic body. From there the books take you on an adrenaline-fueled journey as Frankie attempts to escape from the powerful and relentless mega-corporations that are hunting her down in a desire to eliminate her.

The series did pretty well in 2017 when it was first released. But it was recently unpublished by the author because he felt it was in need of some updating and polish. The re-edited/re-written series is going to be re-released starting this coming January, 2022. The books are going to have remade cover art designed by Dobell himself.

In celebration of the re-release and to introduce new readers to the series, Dobell is giving away two prequel novellas that tell the story of what lead up to the events of The New Prometheus. Titled The Prometheus Dawns and The Prometheus Awakens, they are available for free right now. All you have to do to get them is sign up for the author’s mailing list via BookFunnel.

Have you read The New Prometheus or do you plan to pick up the re-released series when it comes out in January? What are your thoughts on the prequels?
