New Trailer for Upcoming RPG Keylocker Reveals Character Classes

New trailer for upcoming RPG Keylocker reveals character classes.

Development continues on the upcoming turn-based rhythm RPG game Keylocker. And the game’s developer Moonana has just posted a new trailer that showcases four of the games character classes. The four classes revealed here are Sequencer, Hacker, Juggernaut, and Samurai.

Keylocker dubs itself “Turn Based Cyberpunk Action,” and follows the story of singer/songwriter B0B0. It takes place in a world in which music has been prohibited by law. B0B0 is taking part in a rebellion through the use of her voice and music. The game uses traditional turn-based battles alongside real-time move executions with a rhythm twist. It also has a phenomenal soundtrack. At least from what we’ve heard so far.

Moonana states that the game is inspired by the Mario & Luigi RPG series as well as Chrono Trigger. Combining that with a cyberpunk aesthetic and story, plus rhythm mechanics gives the game a rather unique and interesting concept.

Keylocker is a Cyberpunk turn based rhythm JRPG inspired by the Mario & Luigi RPG series and Chrono Trigger, in which you play as the singer and songwriter, BOBO. In this silent world where music has been prohibited, BOBO will serenade her rebellion against the vicious authorities by banding together with the Jukebot drummer, Rocket, to shatter the strings of fate and sing the melody of freedom. Fuel your moves with the electric power of music in this unforgiving planet by using real-time execution of moves in rhythm game style! Battle the authorities, unlock the secrets of the planet, play on your own bands’ concerts and hack into the network to bring an end to this corrupt system, for better or worse.

Keylocker is in active development for PC but as of right now there is no release date. You can take a look at the reveal trailer and add the game to your Steam wishlist and follow its development there.
