Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER Gets a New Trailer

The fast-paced teaser gives us a little more insight into what we'll be doing in Neo-San Francisco.

Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER is the long-awaited sequel to indie hit point-and-click adventure game 2064: Read Only Memories. It was announced way back in the ancient year of 2019 but was announced for consoles earlier this year. The game is due out sometime in 2022 but in the meantime we’ve been treated to a brand new teaser trailer.

The trailer is short and moves fast but it gives us a deeper look at main protagonist and “psychic detective” ES88 and what she’ll be doing in the game. We also get a look at some of the diverse cast of characters that you will be meeting as ES88.

The new trailer from queer-focused production company MidBoss highlights psychic protagonist ES88 and some of the diverse cast she meets as she helps repair people’s memories with the assistance of a bioengineered psychic creature, the Neurodiver. Her organization MINERVA is on the hunt for Golden Butterfly, a rogue psychic hiding away in the minds of others, slowly corrupting their memories.

Press Release

In Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER it is your task as ES88 to track down a rogue telepath who has hidden themselves in the memories of Neo-San Francisco citizens. With the assistance of an artificial lifeform called the Neurodiver, you’re able to enter the victims’ memories to do this. However, the presence of Golden Butterfly in these characters’ minds is quickly corrupting their memories. So you have to be timely about it.

Neurodiver is due for release in Q1, 2022. It’s being released for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. And for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
